ADIB rolls out SME digital banking onboarding

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) has introduced an online onboarding system for SMEs as part of its drive to enhance digital offerings for its business banking customers.

The new system allows SMEs to open Elite Business accounts without visiting physical branches or submitting physical documents or signature, as the whole process is facilitated through video calling services between customers and relationship managers.

“The launch of this platform reaffirms ADIB’s commitment in supporting small businesses by providing solutions that make banking more accessible and convenient. As the pace of technological change accelerates, we will continue to adapt and evolve our offerings to remain a digital banking leader in the region,” said Philip King, ADIB’s group head of retail banking.

This new service is part of a host of other digital services ADIB has been rolling out including ADIB Direct for both its online and mobile banking platforms which automate a variety of services for companies. Over 90% of ADIB UAE’s online corporate banking services are fulfilled through ADIB Direct.
