A total of 20 fintech start-ups have been selected to join the first sprint of DIFC FinTech Hive’s accelerator program which will run until the 7th July 2022. Guided by the theme of ‘impact and sustainability’, these start-ups will address various challenges within the worlds of crypto, digital assets wallet and investment technology among others.
Partners for this year accelerator programs include Islamic banks such as Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and Dubai Islamic Bank as well as other financial institutions including HSBC, Al Masraf, Mashreq, Zurich, Emirates NBD, VISA, Emirates Post Group, Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company and ADCB.
The program begins with a five-day bootcamp comprising of workshops.
Running alongside the 2022 FinTech Accelerator program is DIFC FinTech Hive’s AccelerateHER program which focuses on empowering young female talent to play a more active role in shaping the future of the financial services industry. This year’s cohort will also participate in the five-day bootcamp.
Sponsored this year by HSBC, AccelerateHER has received a record number of applications. A second sprint of this year’s AccelerateHER program will take place in September, in parallel with the second sprint of the FinTech Accelerator program.
