UAE: Blockchain-based cash Waqf platform Digiwaqf is set to launch in mid-November this year, reported ISFI.
Digiwaqf will act as an intermediary between sources of funds and entrepreneurs with the platform issuing grants and interest-free loans to approved projects on the platform. The platform raises Waqf funds which are then invested in Shariah compliant instruments. Proceeds from the investments will then be channeled toward issuing grants for Islamic tech entrepreneurs.
