Emirates NBD has inaugurated its first paperless digital branch at the Dubai World Trade Center. The branch allows customers to conduct a variety of banking transactions including applying for new products – Islamic and conventional – and will be supported by Pepper, the bank’s artificial intelligence-powered humanoid robot, which will provide information on products and services through natural language conversations. The branch, open 24/7, is part of Emirates NBD’s AED1 billion (US$272.2 million) investment over the next three years toward its digital transformation program.
