Formerly liwwa’s COO, Dennis was responsible for scaling liwwa’s operations dramatically in 2019 and for successfully navigating the company through COVID-19 crisis. He holds degrees in Finance and Accounting and a Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law. Dennis is passionate about using technology to make a positive impact in the MENA Region, which he’s called home for well over the last decade. Prior to liwwa, Dennis lead a 300-person team at IRC in Jordan and Syria and has leveraged his expertise to manage liwwa since becoming the company’s CEO in 2021.
Heba is leading the expansion of our operations in Egypt. She holds and MBA from London Business School and brings 10+ years of private equity experience. She has worked on transactions in banking and one of Egypt’s early companies in FinTech. Heba is very passionate about financial inclusion in Egypt and relying on FinTech in its acceleration. More recently she has been actively involved in the set-up of an ambitious tech-enabled NBFI Platform. She’s looking forward to bridging the SME lending gap through her work with liwwa in Egypt.
Sudqi leads on key strategic and management initiatives in order to define, monitor, and track liwwa’s priorities and goals. He brings to liwwa five years of banking experience, and two years of operations experience. During his tenure at the IFC and EBRD, he acted both as a principal investor in infrastructure assets, and as a transaction advisor to governments in the Levant region. A keen traveler, Sudqi also co-founded a London-based startup in the travel and tourism space. Sudqi hold Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws degrees from Edinburgh University and SOAS University of Londong
