The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) has launched a digital matchmaking platform in its endevour to facilitate holistic ecosystem development, value chain integration and market expansion in three main focus areas: Islamic finance, the Halal industry as well as science, technology and innovation.
Known as e-Gateway, the service was unveiled during the MoU signing ceremony between the IsDB with the Malaysian government to transform the multilateral bank’s regional office in Kuala Lumpur into a Center of Excellence.
The e-Gateway platform leverages on the IsDB’s ENGAGE platform with the goal of connecting stakeholders across 57 member countries. This includes matching solution seekers looking for business support with solution providers as well as matching investors with potential projects and companies seeking for investment funding. The group also intends to use this new platform to engage donors to fund its development agenda.
