ACS Digital, one of the two Islamic digital bank licensees of Bank Negara Malaysia, has named Poorani Ramachandran as its CFO.
Also known as AEON Digital Bank, ACS Digital is driven by the AEON consortium comprising AEON Credit, AFS and MoneyLion. The three entities will each hold a 45:45:10 stake in the proposed digital bank, which is slated to be operational in 2024. The neobank will operate within an asset limit of RM3 billion and maintain a minimum capital funds of RM100 million unimpaired by losses during its foundational phase.
Ramachandran joins ACS Digital from Bank Pembagunan Malaysia and financial guarantee insurer Danajamin Nasional, where she served as CFO. She began her career with KPMG Peat Marwick, Singapore as an external auditor.
