The largest Islamic bank in Kuwait has rolled out a digital wallet service accessible both through smart watches and mobile as part of its digital banking strategy.
Developed in collaboration with Samsung, Fitbit and Garmin, Kuwait Finance House (KFH)’s new service allows its card customers (except Mastercard ATM cardholders) to transact in a cashless manner leveraging on their near-field communication technology-compatible mobile devices. The Islamic bank said it will extend the service to its Mastercard ATM cardholders soon. Initially planned for mobile phone users, KFH included smart watches as well due to strong demand from customers for an avenue to make secured payments using wearables.
