Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has partnered with Mastercard to launch its new QIB SoftPOS (point-of-sale) app that allows merchants’ Android smartphones to accept contactless transactions from all EMV contactless cards and near-field communication-enabled phones and wearables with wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, according to a press release.
