The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) has awarded a license to smart digital payment company Tiqmo to provide e-wallet services, a statement confirmed. This brings the number of payment companies licensed by SAMA to 22. Additionally, five companies were granted in-principle approvals.
Founded in 2020, Tiqmo is a mobile service provider aiming to build an ecosystem for digital payments and services marketplace in the MENA region, by offering solutions for e-commerce, gaming, logistics and education. It is headquartered in Riyadh.
