SIB turns to klip to offer digital wallet services

Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) has integrated Emirates Digital Wallet’s klip digital payments platform into its mobile app, allowing it to launch its digital wallet offering.

The klip platform widens options for SIB customers, allowing them to spend, receive, save or transfer money digitally, without the need for credit cards.

The platform is operated by Emirates Digital Wallet, which is owned by 15 banks including SIB, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Dubai Islamic Bank, Al Hilal Bank and Al Masraf.

“Our presence in the Emirates Digital Wallet ecosystem is considered an important and necessary step,” said Waleed AlAmoudi, the vice-president and head of digital banking of SIB. “We are working diligently to digitize the services being offered to our customers and constantly improving the experience offered through our banking channels.”
